Raquel Akridge and Leslie Kimmons, co-founders of Weplay2 recognized the disconnect between lady players’ passion for golf and their presence on the golf course and so they created a community to bring the two together.

CALUMET AREA INDUSTRIAL COMMISSION – NONPROFIT

The Calumet Area Industrial Commission is a nonprofit workforce development organization that connects recent high school graduates, displaced workers, and seasoned industry professionals with high-quality career in manufacturing. 

PROJECT OBJECTIVES

  • Developed a new brand identity.
  • Attracted industrial businesses & a higher quality talent poll through inspiring visuals and realistic opportunities.

Social Media Direction 

KING ESTER – WEB SERIES 

A fresh narrative by Writer/Director, Dui Jarrod who explored the hardships faced by an aspiring entertainer and transgender black woman from New Orleans. This story takes place in the coming of Hurricane Katrina. 

PROJECT OBJECTIVES

  • Appeal to tier-one film festivals.
  • Develop engaging content.
  • Tease storyline.
  • Champion equality transgender community.

PROJECT WINS

  • Generated buzz through social media
    marketing among the LGBTQIA
    community and allies.
  • Planned and executed a crowdfunding
    campaign via Seed & Spark.
  • Raised $21k for post-production by
    driving traffic to Seed & Spark utilizing
    call-to-actions, plus Ads on Facebook
    and Instagram.
  • Received a Daytime Emmy Nomination
